1. Register on the portal
If you want to start working with the system, during registration, please add your EDS key, and the system will automatically send all the necessary data for registration with the State Tax Service.
You can also skip this step and use the system in test mode.
2. Add cash register, cashier, and products
Please enter the details of your retail point, add a cash register, and upload the cashier’s digital signature key. The system will automatically retrieve all the data from the owner’s digital signature key.
In the “Products” section, add the goods and services you will be selling. You can also track the inventory of your products.
3. Issue your first receipt
In the Sales section, open the cash shift, add items and services to the receipt, specify the payment method, and print.
Checkbox is a software-based Cash Register Machine designed for businesses of any scale. It is a modern service that reduces the cost of transaction registration and simplifies and organizes reporting and payment control. The service was initiated by Dmytro Dubilet and Andrii Sukhov, who were involved in the development and implementation of the software-based cash register. Checkbox is a service that operates without the need for expensive stationary equipment. Moreover, the software-based cash register not only matches the functionality of a standard the software-based cash register but also surpasses it.
How much does it cost to buy a software-based cash register? Checkbox is accessible to everyone regardless of the organizational form. It can be used by individual entrepreneurs (sole proprietors) or large retailers. The offer is beneficial to all. Our clients only pay a monthly subscription fee of 178.8 UAH per cash register. What are cash register and software-based cash register? According to Law No. 129-IX of Ukraine, individual entrepreneurs (sole proprietors) of groups 2-4 are required to use a cash register or software-based cash register starting from January 1, 2022. Prior to 2022, all legal entities and individual entrepreneurs were required to be equipped with this technology or, optionally, use specialized software. A cash register, or Cash Register Machine, is used to record cash receipts from the sale of goods through cash or non-cash transactions. A software-based cash register, or cash register, is a program where entrepreneurs enter information about all transactions. Data about receipts are transmitted directly to the State Tax Service of Ukraine. Common features include:
- Collecting information about all transactions

- Z-reports at the end of each shift
- Transmitting transaction information to the State Tax Service
Differences include:
- Cost: A cash register is purchased with the entrepreneur’s funds. The price of the equipment, including setup, is approximately 7,000 UAH. The software-based cash register is free. The client only pays the subscription fee.
- Size: Using a cash register requires a dedicated space, while a software-based cash register is a program that can be installed on any digital medium.
- Receipts: A cash register only prints paper receipts, while the software allows sending receipts via email, printing standard paper receipts, or generating QR codes.
- Z-Report: When using the equipment, the seller or manager manually generates the Z-report on paper after each shift. The software-based cash register generates the report automatically and sends it to the State Tax Service.
